NEW G-TAG KEEPS TABS ON LOST BELONGINGS

I have been reviewing the G_Tag from Gigaset,  a really neat Bluetooth device that helps find your lost items like keys or even your car, the very clever company who excel in home communications and gadgets. I reviewed a Gigaset house phone previously, looks like a smart phone and it has lots of useful features also. You can read about that here. http://www.giventodistractingothers.co.uk/2013/04/gigaset-sl910a-home-phone-review.html

The G- Tag  works with Android or IOS as long as the phone has Bluetooth availability, it will locate lost items within a ten metre radius.

I tried it out with my bag and keys as I have a habit of leaving both around the house and employ the family to hunt for them. We had good fun trying it out, but know that it will come in very useful
Incredibly easy to set up on my phone, after installation. If I can do it, anybody can!!

I think that this would be great in a large car park, I shudder at the memories of parking at the NEC and forgetting to notice which bay we were in, an hour and a half later already tired from the day we located the car, but it was a stressful time, the G-Tag would have helped a lot.

I do wish that you could actually have one of these to locate mobile phones, maybe two G-Tags would do that, not sure, but that is the number one thing that goes missing in our house.

All in all, this would be useful for people especially teens. In our home they lose everything haha.

Via the app, each G-Tag can be assigned a name to identify possessions such as misplaced keys, a laptop left at work or the location of an owner’s car in a busy car park. The device then syncs with the user’s smartphone or tablet using a proximity sensing feature which can identify the position of any lost items up to 10 metres away. A GPS memory function records the last known location of the G-Tag pin letting users know where they can find the item.

The app also comes with an inbuilt personalised checklist feature which alerts users if they’ve left the house without essentials that have previously been assigned to a G-Tag such as gym kit, medication or a folder containing important documents.

Conveniently small at just 37mm square, the G-Tag comes in a range of five colours designed to fit neatly onto key rings, into the pocket of a bag or in the glove compartment of a car.

Waterproof and with a replaceable battery, which lasts up to 12 months, the Gigaset G-Tag is designed to help users stay connected with the things which are important to them.
Other key features include:
·         Compatible with the Apple iOS 7 or newer, and Android™ smartphones with Bluetooth 4.0 and Android™ 4.4.2 or newer
·         Push for range notification
·         App sound notification with adjustable volume/tone
·         LowEnergy Bluetooth (BLE 4.0)
Designed to help users keep tabs on belongings, the G-Tag is set to revolutionise connected households, cutting down on time spent hunting for lost items and ensuring that you never leave home without the things that matter to you.

The Gigaset G-Tag will be available from Amazon priced from £19.99.

Fancy winning a set of three G-Tags for the family, so hubby's keys, your bay or the family car will be located, then enter via the easy peasy rafflecopter.

You only have to follow and comment, other entries are optional.

Ends 16th November.

I put up a set of hooks next to the front door for him to put his keys on, but he doesn't use them, preferring to annoy me & the kids by asking if we have moved the missing item.
