New to the family!

Not new to us, but new to you.

Today I am introducing Jess, my son Conors girlfriend and her little boy Ollie.

We are very much in love with them both, Conor understandably much more so.

Ollie has brought a ray of light into our hearts and our home. Caring for Granny gets a bit tough at times for her and for me and the family. To find moments of joy is the key to looking after her and I am becoming aware it helps me also.

So in rolled Ollie early this year and I was smitten. He rarely cries, smiles at everybody he sees and he is already got us under his power. We had a rare day out with them, Paige cared for Granny at home, I felt very torn as I would have loved all of us being together, but sadly this is never going to happen.

Paige adores Ollie too and has loves being an Auntie to him. Its so good to see her happy.

Ollie is such a good child, I noticed this at Legoland, happy to sit and watch the world go by, Jess trusted Chris and I to take him off for an hour  she had got to know us but it was a first time, not sure if she was anxious, but we were a little. Happy with his Mum about, but we worried it may not be the same, however he was not fazed by this at all.

He giggled and played with us, not fretful about Jess and where she was, more interested in playing peekaboo and rifling through the picnic.

We found a quiet spot to have a picnic and he loved it. he has a passion for cucumber we discovered.

He  loves the camera, it loves him, he actually smiles as soon as he sees it, so you may be seeing more of him on the blog very soon.

Conor and Ollie after 6 months have a very special bond, they adore each other.

I find it very heartwarming to see the love we have for our children radiating through to others. Family growing outwards is truly special too.

I find it a joy to have a taste of grand parenting, adding more sons and daughters, we are so very grateful that we have these two in our lives.
