  108. Mum, the most imortant job in the world, if she shows love to her child that child has a good chance of a good life, if she does not show love to the child that child will have problems in it's life. I was the latter. I worked hard all my life but something was always missing and I felt insecure even though overall I did well but I would of done better if my mother had shown love. ( I am 69, widowed 20 years, gave the best chance I could to my two boys and I am well provided for, but it still hurts etc.

After she suddenly died, my twenty week scan was about 2 days after her funeral and so, for the first time, I asked the sex of my baby - was so pleased they told me it was a girl because, whilst I had no personal preference, I wanted my mum to have been right!! 16 years on, and with 4 children now, I still miss her.
