Eggs Royale - Prestat Easter eggs for 2015

NEW Red Velvet Egg, 170g

Well for years Chris has said I act like the Queen, now I have been sent one of her Majesty's Easter Eggs to prove it.

Prestat, chocolatier to Her Majesty The Queen, has hatched its largest ever clutch of Easter eggs, including the fabulous NEW Red Velvet Egg. The spectacular milk chocolate egg is lined with creamy white chocolate icing.  Inside are award-winning Red Velvet Truffles containing the softest velvety icing and rolled in crushed raspberries.

Blue Easter Egg filled with Dark Sea Salt Caramel Truffles), £6.50

All Prestat Easter eggs are made using only the finest milk or dark chocolate before being filled with truffles or Sea Salt Caramels – many of which have won a Great Taste award. Prestat’s trademark gold swirls run riot on the traditional boxes containing a gold-foiled egg, tied with a ribbon.

(50g) Were £3.95 each now £2.95

There are also smaller eggs, including some made with real egg shells filled with Hazelnut Chocolate Truffle.

Prestat sent me the Dark Chocolate Easter Egg and the box is exquisite, rather like a gift in itself, Paige is eyeing it up for keepsakes.
The egg is nestled in pink tissue and wrapped in gold paper as many eggs are.
The chocolate is strong, intense and sweet, the egg is filled with The Finest Ganache Truffle. Prestat's Antoine Dufour, who founded the company, created the first truffle in 1895.

I ate mine considering that this Easter the Queen and her family may be nibbling on the same Easter eggs as me one certainly can tell you it was a satisfying experience.

It is an extravagant £15 but it tastes like a luxury egg. Perfect if you want to indulge a loved one or yourself.

If you want to treat your own Kings, Queens, little princes and princesses this Easter, you will not go far wrong with a Prestat Easter Egg.
