Eggs Royale - Prestat Easter eggs for 2015

NEW Red Velvet Egg, 170g

Well for years Chris has said I act like the Queen, now I have been sent one of her Majesty's Easter Eggs to prove it.

Prestat, chocolatier to Her Majesty The Queen, has hatched its largest ever clutch of Easter eggs, including the fabulous NEW Red Velvet Egg. The spectacular milk chocolate egg is lined with creamy white chocolate icing.  Inside are award-winning Red Velvet Truffles containing the softest velvety icing and rolled in crushed raspberries.

Blue Easter Egg filled with Dark Sea Salt Caramel Truffles), £6.50

All Prestat Easter eggs are made using only the finest milk or dark chocolate before being filled with truffles or Sea Salt Caramels – many of which have won a Great Taste award. Prestat’s trademark gold swirls run riot on the traditional boxes containing a gold-foiled egg, tied with a ribbon.

Hazelnut Chocolate Truffle in a Real Eggshell
(50g) Were £3.95 each now £2.95

There are also smaller eggs, including some made with real egg shells filled with Hazelnut Chocolate Truffle.

Prestat sent me the Dark Chocolate Easter Egg and the box is exquisite, rather like a gift in itself, Paige is eyeing it up for keepsakes.
The egg is nestled in pink tissue and wrapped in gold paper as many eggs are.
The chocolate is strong, intense and sweet, the egg is filled with The Finest Ganache Truffle. Prestat's Antoine Dufour, who founded the company, created the first truffle in 1895.

I ate mine considering that this Easter the Queen and her family may be nibbling on the same Easter eggs as me one certainly can tell you it was a satisfying experience.

It is an extravagant £15 but it tastes like a luxury egg. Perfect if you want to indulge a loved one or yourself.

If you want to treat your own Kings, Queens, little princes and princesses this Easter, you will not go far wrong with a Prestat Easter Egg.

Prestat stockist enquiries: www.prestat.co.uk
Stocked at the Prestat shop (020 7494 3372), 14 Princes Arcade, Piccadilly, London SW1Y 6DS
Also available in Liberty, Selfridges, John Lewis, the Prestat concession in Harrods, and distributed through Cotswold Fayre

I was provided with the Prestat Easter Egg in order to write the review, my opinions are my own.

Prints with Feeling.com

I love a gift that is not just thoughtful, but also goes a little bit further to convey my feelings to the person. Its occasionally easy to buy a unique gift for a good friend, harder sometimes to buy something for close family, those who I live with and have bought for, many times over the years.

I find I have bought many gifts for Chris that appeal to him. Paige and Conor, I know their likes and we have catered within reason to those over the years. Granny, 95 years old, who lives with us, is at a grand age where she says she needs nothing but her food and warmth.

These family members who mean more to me than anybody else in the world, yet on special occasions I am sometimes struggling to find a present that conveys how I feel about them.

So I was most interested when I was asked to review something from Prints With Feelings.com, a company  who work to create gifts with words that spark a feeling. Who work with different designers to come up with concepts that you can either buy as you see and some that you can personalise.

I was sent a Family Tree Print, I was able to choose the colour of the tree, so it  fits in well with the room decor, I could choose  any names I wanted and or family name.
I could choose a print, how I wanted it framed, if at all and then personalise by choosing text that I wanted. Cost of the print is £18, framed £28. Which is a great price for a unique item.

The print arrived very quickly, so it will be a handy place to visit if you are seeking a last minute gift.

It was carefully packaged and when I opened it I fell in love with it. I was happy that it was unique to my family set up, living with Granny and caring for her, we now have something that signifies this.

The above is my print,  now on the wall. I chose to give this to my family on Mothers Day, it was a chance to offer a gift in return for being treated like a Queen all day. I feel its pulled our unique family set up together, all our names in one place. A keepsake for the future too.

There are many other unusual gifts on the Prints with Feeling website for that special gift.

From cushions to prints, mugs to tote bags and cards all ranging from £2.99.

Some can be personalised, some are cute, others just funny. I love the unicorn card. There are lovely prints to welcome a baby into the world, your child's favourite football team shirt prints and many more.

The site is easy to use, there is a video to help with getting the personalisation right.

Big thumbs up from me for Prints With Feelings.

What do you think, is there somebody you would like to choose a unique gift for?

I noticed the site has a 10% discount code for Spring and Summer, click on the gift icon on the left of the page.

I received the print for the purposes of this review, my opinions are my own.

Easter at Asda

With the long weekend break, Easter is a chance for everyone in the family to get together for a catch up over a delicious meal, a glass of something bubbly and of course indulge in plenty of yummy chocolate Easter eggs.

To help plan this Asda have put together lots of ideas to make your Easter fun, tasty and entertaining for all members of the family

Their Easter Egg selection is vast, as well as the usuall brands and family favourites, they also have a range
of Asda Extra Special Luxury Milk Chocolate Eggs and sent me one for Easter.

I was sent a Bejewelled Extra Special egg, created with Leiths School of Food and Wine, it certainly looks luxurious. The egg is made with dark and milk chocolate.
It is hand decorated  with luxurious fudge, honeycomb, wrapped in chocolate, sprayed with a purple lustre.

It looks like luxury but at £6, it won’t break the bank

There are some gorgeous accessories at Asda this Easter, the usual Easter bunny hunt accessories, great value tableware to co-ordinate your Easter table and some mouthwatering cakes and foods.
