Summer brings lovely afternoons and long evenings outdoors, bbbq's, picnics and time to get together with friends.
I love the Aldi range of drinks and was sent a few I have not previously tried.
I have reviewed several really good gins, so much so that I feel a bit of a semi professional, maybe that is a slight exaggeration, I know which ones taste good. The Aldi London Dry Gin has that perfect citrus bite, so dry its perfect, the herby taste and freshness makes it one I would buy again, the price makes it a definite for the list!
The sun even deigned to appear for an afternoon so we rushed outside to indulge. This is just gorgeous a drink and I recommend it especially with cake.
I enjoyed this every bit as much and will definitely be putting it on my summer drinks list!
I gave my son a glass of cider and he said thanks Mum you got my favourite, another brand beaten, he grew up proclaiming he only like a certain brand cereal, or bag of crisps, we do like brands but occasionally a bit of belt tightening occurred when they were growing up.
He loved the taste of the Orchard premium Pear Cider and so much so, he is planning to buy some for a festival he is going to.
Time for cocktails
Make the most of the long summer evenings by bringing out your inner mixologist and serve gin based cocktails alfresco.
Use the award winning Oliver Cromwell London Dry Gin (£9.70) which knocked the socks off judges again this year at international competitions, taking away a gold medal and beating pricier gins (such as Hendrick’s and Bombay Sapphire) nearly four times its price!
The perfect sunshine accompaniment
Great for putting you in the festival spirit – even if you aren’t in possession of a Glastonbury ticket - Orchard Premium Pear Cider (£0.99) is made using the best quality English apples to give a refreshing smooth taste which is full of flavour. Enjoy served over ice for extra refreshment.
Austin’s o’clock
Quintessentially British, the award-winning Austin’s Summer Punch is perfect for an afternoon with friends. Best enjoyed mixed with lemonade, mint, cucumber and strawberries, this fruity little number is sure to impress.
I'm a big fan of Austins. Tastes great and like you say its half the price of another known brand.

Their alcohol is pretty nice, just find the pricing confusing where they do the shelf underneath.
