Spring is here, the weather has been remarkable, dare I say summery of late. It has lifted my spirits and made me want to BBQ, eat salad and the sound of the ice cream van tinkling along the street means summer may be here soon.
For those who are watching their weight, it can be a time when ice creams and cold desserts are a complete no.
Fortunately Weight Watchers have launched some fab desserts options that mean you don't have to miss out. With six varieties to choose from you will find something to eat on a summers day and not be pining if others are tucking into Mr Whippy's!
There are the delicious Mini Sticks With a ProPoints value of 3 per stick. My favourite of the range.
Covered with silky milk chocolate or rich white chocolate, the sticks are ideal for fulfilling your sweet tooth cravings, without having to then jog the kids home from school to make up for it. I love the white chocolate variety, the ice cream is creamy and just the right sweetness, the white chocolate has a good taste.
At under 100 calories these are great for anyone trying to keep trim, I would have eaten these whilst on Slimming world as they are 5 syns.
Available from Tesco and Sainsbury’s – RRP £2.99
Anybody who loves a Cornetto and feels they are off the menu, again will not have to go without this year. Weight Watchers have a lovely range of both Chocolate and Vanilla or Toffee and Vanilla. I sadly could not find the toffee, but can guarantee the Choc version, the wafer is light, crisp and sweet, the ice cream again very creamy. The chocolate sauce is yummy and I will be buying these as everybody loved them. Its a full sized cone too , yet still only 148 Calories and a ProPoints value of 4 per cone. Another great price of £1.79 for four.
For those wanting a nice dessert, I suggest the Weight Watchers Toffee and Honeycomb sundaes. lovely creamy ice cream, swirls of sweet sticky toffee and a gorgeous crunch of honeycomb. The size is good and its hard to believe this is a dessert for dieters. only 119 calories and a ProPoints value of 3 and cost £1.59 per pack making them perfect to share. Only 119 calories mean you can feel sinful without any sin!
Available from Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

Another sweet dessert, are the Weight Watchers Swirl Mini Pots, the perfect midweek mini treat for completing the cleaning, ironing, or even for emptying the dishwasher.
The flavours are crunchy creamy Chocolate Honeycomb and Toffee or scrumptious Strawberry and Raspberry flavours. I love the lightness of the raspberry pot. Its like one of those little icecream pots you get at the theatre, only there is no mortgage to take out for this one. A pack of four costs £2.10 only available at Morrisons.
The Strawberry Swirl Mini Pot is 84 Calories and a ProPoints value of 2 per 100ml pot.
Raspberry Swirl Mini Pot has only 88 calories and a ProPoints value of 2 per 100ml pot.
