Darwin's Home Review

Darwin's Home asked me to take a look at their site, they offer stylish, upmarket products that look great in your home and garden but are also kind to our planet. Prices vary with items starting at £4 up into, 'I am going to have to save!'

The name interestingly is for Charles Darwin, famous for his theory of natural selection, so too the company want to develop and evolve, reflect how people shop for their homes. To allow a product on their site it has to follow a strict criteria.

Be environmentally friendly – made from natural materials, recycled materials or be recyclable
Made in Europe or according to the Fair Trade charter
Be a designer piece
Offer timeless design
Made of quality materials so it will last a long time.

I have fallen in love with the natural looking ranges,  this table is modern yet old looking. Its a little bit of the outdoors inside, something I like to see and something I am lusting after, reminds me of driftwood and the sea.

Natural textiles to add to sofas, even as storage shelves like this Next To Me shelf.

Lighting for the garden is something I love and am adding to this year, I love these lanterns, filled with citronella tealights to keep away the mozzies!.

When it comes to kitchen and table ware, I have been gradually changing mine and was delighted that I was sent a TCHON salad bowl to review.

This bowl is made from bamboo, I have smaller dishes and they last for ages and are easy to keep clean.

I love the range of colours this bowl is available in, plum, taupe, storm, turquoise and white.

I chose the raspberry, its a glorious colour, a vegetable lacquer gives it a lovely shine. This will look fab for summer dining outdoors, we eat a ton of salad and is a great size for our large family. I have been using for a couple of weeks and it washes up so well.

The bright colours of the Frangipani range also appeal, starting at £9 ,my kitchen makeover soon to happen will definitely be brighter than currently.

Darwin's Home prove that looking after the environment can mean looking after your home too. I love the site.
