Celebrating with Knorr Gravy Pots

Sunday dinner is the best meal of the week, we all love a good roast dinner, the whole family are usually around and Chris has taken over the meal, he claims to make the best Yorkshire puddings in the world, being a Yorkshire man, I allow him his claim, it means I get to sit and take in the aromas of cooking meat, roasting potatoes and just chill.
He even cleans it all up after. He is a keeper.

He makes gravy in a certain way too, but this week we were sent a love hamper of food and Knorr Gravy Pots to use.

Knorr have just been awarded Product of the Year in the Gravy & Stock category by Product of the Year they are the world’s largest consumer-voted award for product innovation and naturally Knorr are pretty happy with the win.

To celebrate they invited us to try out the Gravy Pots with a roast dinner to celebrate and sent us the ingredients to try them out.

I have used Knorr Gravy pots a lot, we all love them, I would have been happy to make this weekends dinner, but Chris who has a recipe for gravy has not tried them and wanted to.

Chris set to work while Paige and I went shopping, home and the house was filled with the aroma of beef, Chris roasted the parsnips and  had the potatoes around the beef.

Neearing dishing up time, he used the water from the vegetables and potatoes, his 'potato juice' and added some of the beef juice as well. He heated these up in a roasting pan and whisked the beef gravy pot in and then simmered while dishing the food.

The Knorr Gravy pots were a complete success he said, the gravy is slightly thinner than we are usually have it, but the flavour was perfect, really fresh tasting and beefy. There are no artificial nasties in the gravy pots and we all loved our meal.

Well done Knorr on a great product, the award is much deserved!!

Disclosure I was given all the ingredients apart from the Yorkshire Puds. I was under no obligation to receive the hamper or talk about Knorr. I get no additional benefits for talking about the product or company.

  1. I now want Sunday dinner right now! I've always been worried about gravy pots just simply because I'm so used to normal gravy granules, might have to pick some up when I next do the shop and see how they fair xx

    1. I want to eat it again already, it was delicious. I use the Knorr stockpots in stews, but have used the Gravy Pots by accident once, similar packaging, so good I have done so again.

  7. These sound really easy to use. Although I do prefer a thick gravy, maybe I could add a bit of flour to thicken it. Would love to try these :)

  8. I use Knorr gravy pots all the time now. They melt down easily with no lumpy bits you can get with stock cubes.

  9. Oh man, I'm so hungry, I don't even care that it's only half 10, I'd totally eat this right now. Gravy with every meal should totally be a thing. #NorthernProblems
