Seven days, seven smoothies and I feel way better, I think all the fruit combined with the Alpro Almond milk has really been beneficial. I have more energy, I am not waning by lunchtime. Granny has been having the smoothies too.
I read up on the different vitamins that would be beneficial for her and I and tried to make smoothies rich in these.
The Alpro Almond milk has vitamins B2, B12, D and E these help in so many ways for women, and especially senior women.
Vitamin B2 is essential for keeping cells in good health, found in meat and dairy, almonds are a good source, with the blueberry and spinach smoothie, we were getting a good supply.
Vitamin B12 Protects against heart disease, protects and repairs DNA to reduce cancer risk and the one I was interested in for Granny and myself it protects against Dementia and cognitive decline. It also makes you happier, good for this time of year.
Vitamin D helps absorb twice as much calcium. Helps the immune system and plays an important role in muscle function.
Vitamin E Again protects against dementia, good for eye health and alleviates inflammation. Fruits I used were mango and kiwis another good source.
I am not sure I would keep up to the smoothie a day, I will for Granny as she seems to be sleeping less in the day, we are both more cheerful that's for sure.
Alpro did not tell me these benefits but I started to research once I felt more alert and more upbeat!
Disclosure I was given free products. I provided all other fresh ingredients, I was under no obligation to receive the kit or talk about this company. I get no additional benefits for talking about the product or company.
I think I might give this a try, I always feel tired before lunch. The health benefits sound great too. Thanks for sharing :) x
ReplyDeleteI really need to get back into healthy eating again. I love Smoothies but seem to go straight for the junk food at the mo!
ReplyDeleteI make smoothies a lot but I've never used Alpro Almond milk. Thank you, I will give it a try! :)
ReplyDeleteI always drink almond milk, this looks like a great new way to enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to try almond milk. I may give one of these smoothies a go. I should try to eat more healthily.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great diet. I'd be interested to see if you'd felt any health benefits longer term? thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh indeed, I care for my Granny full time, we live with her, I do not get out that often so exercise is hard, cannot be doing with workout DVDs after a while as I get bored. I just felt so much energy by midweek of this, I am trying hard to do this, maybe not daily but much more. I feel I don't flag as much. Brain was definitely more alert throughout the day. The fruit benefits will be better immunity, cannot really tell that yet.
DeleteI definitely need to buy a smoothie maker and get on this :)
ReplyDeleteA cheapie liquidiser does the job too.
DeleteThanks for the replies :) I'm looking at buying a little hand blender to make soups and smoothies. I'm really glad you're feeling the benefits too :)
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, I love my little hand blender, easy to store and use.

ReplyDeleteBecause Netflix is so central to watching video online it
really is worthwhile looking at the Netflix website,
while you can't click on their website. There is often a
lot of buzz around wearable technology recently and though many are
not completely sold on his or her everyday use,
perhaps we're not looking at the right demographic.

Besides this, there are also restores saves and easy (to) back-up saves as well.
ReplyDeleteHowever, leak website VGLeaksreported that the next-gen Xbox will work offline.
In conclusion to my Xbox 360 Repair Kit Review I
would give this guide a five out of five for quality, support, and
overall knowledge in this area.
