Looking for a great laundry detergent, well I am reviewing Persil Small and Mighty again, I recently had my stain removal for a white t shirt, with chocolate, ink and pasta sauce, this time I am just using my usual family stain fest!!
I have to say its an easy review. Persil Small and Mighty this time I am trying the Bio and Colour, so my washing that I call pale wash and my dark colours have been put through their paces.
The first thing about the Persil that is unique, is the Stain Eraser Ball which neatly sits in the body of the bottle. You just pop it out and pour the dose, it doubles as a stain pre treatment, you just pour on a stubborn stain before washing in the usual way. Its a bit tricky to see the measurement dose but it is there.
The other nice feature is the easy-to-open flip top lid and spout for mess-free pouring, this saves the dribble of detergent around the lid and the unsightly trickle down the side of a bottle.
But clean is where its at, I want a detergent that cleans and removes stains.
As always the family help immensely with throwing stains at their clothes, so thoughtful.
Chris gave me a shirt, had to be his best one a Reiss shirt with a lovely gravy stain after a carvery night out, the gravy had a greasy film, so it was what I class as a 'tricky stain'.
From previous use I trusted Persil would tackle it. So no other stain removal was used, but I did use the stain eraser ball before washing on a usual wash.
Result stain gone!!
My washing is clean, smells good and when I have troublesome stains, I can rely on Persil.
So if you like the sound of Persil and want to win a Persil Bio and Colour 875 ml bottle for yourself, fill in the easy peasy Rafflecopter below.

ReplyDeleteNo washing woes or funny stories, other than colour runs. I love Persil :)
ReplyDeleteJacqueline Cook
Love the smell of persil, my son has taken to sniffing the wshing powder in the supermarket so he can choose which one we use - very worrying!
ReplyDeleteI used to moan constantly about doing the washing until my mum explained to me that I am very lucky that all I have to do is put clothes in the machine and not carry a basket on my head to a river and wash my clothes on a rock. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteHi, I am shy
ReplyDeleteThanks for this competition! Good luck everyone
ReplyDeletei actually quite like doing the washing :) except my sons white shirts lol
ReplyDeleteMy first ever load of laundry when I moved out turned pink... Forgot about separating colours!
ReplyDeleteNo funny stories I'm afraid but this looks great
ReplyDeleteMy washing machine broke down a few years ago so my Mum did my washing for me including my bedding. I'm allergic to all wash powders/liquids apart from Persil so when I woke up in the middle of the night itching like mad & the following morning came out in a rash with blisters.I blamed my Mum for using the wrong powder & she was really apologetic but I had to apologise when I realised I'd actually got chicken pox
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI hate trying to do my washing in the winter! I literally have a pile that's now built up! Think I need a tumble dryer!!
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteHi. I can not remember anything. my little boygot this donkey IO from winnie the pooh and he loves it and keeps kissing him and cuddleing him even when he is eating so it is fully covered with souces yak yeah.. and whenever we go out he brings it and he puts it down anywhere mud...yak...I do not have a chance to wash it because he cuddles it so thight never lets it go...IOOO needs a wash...maybe tomorrow...........
ReplyDeleteWith 2 young boys who seem to be constantly competing as to who can get dirty the fastest, it's amazing my washing machine doesn't go on strike lol.
ReplyDeleteI washed a brand new skirt with the rest of the washing and now loads of items have red splodges on-oops!
ReplyDeleteno washing woes here - thankfully - but with a 13 month old boy it will come in handy!
ReplyDeletei hated when i used a colour catcher type thing and it didn't work very well!
ReplyDeletejust saying hy nice competition thank you!
ReplyDeleteWe had to push our new washing machine back home on a sack truck a few weeks ago! The other one died a sudden death....
ReplyDeleteHiya -thanks for the competition - my washing woe is too much!
ReplyDeleteAshleigh
I once threw the coal into the washing machine. I was clearly not concentrating at the time - my only explanation is that the washer was a metal box on the side wall of the house, and the stove was a metal box on the side wall of the next room
ReplyDeleteI am trying to teach my son at uni' how to do his own washing. He manages to wash it, but it then ends up all screwed up and a nightmare to iron because he is always in too much of a hurry to fold it up.
ReplyDeletea few mishaps with colours
ReplyDeleteim terrible at ruining things in the washer whether its putting something that runs in hence dyeing all the clothes with it, leaving tissues in so everything comes out with tissues shredded all over it but best is leaving a whole wage packet in the wash i really should start to check pockets!
ReplyDeleteI have shrunk jumpers on more than one occasion because of not reading washing instructions! Luckily as I buy from charity shops it hasn't cost me too much each time. But arrrgh how stupid!
ReplyDelete@WrightyH
Hi, I have had just the usual red sock in with the whites, not too often though thank goodness!
ReplyDeletemy most frustrating thing is my dad he continues to just shove any thing in the wash, mixed colours, wools on a hot wash and no matter how meny times you tell him he still does it
ReplyDeleteTelling everyone to empty their pockets, only for me to leave tissues in mine, and having to the wash again
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeletewhen newly married my mother in law was ill and did not have a washing machine so I offered to do her washing for her. When I removed her washing from my washing machine the arm of her favourite blouse had come off! I was mortified but neither my husband or I owned up to it!
ReplyDeleteWhen hubby puts white fluffy towels in with my black clothes and they end up with furballs
ReplyDeleteHi - thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteI managed to dye my husband's tennis whites a delicate shade of pink.
ReplyDeleteThe elastic on my knickers got loose and tied up all my clothes in a bundle took ages to unravel!!
ReplyDeletePauline Simpson
Using a tumble dryer for the first time = not good with all my nice tops!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteHi. This is a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo!

ReplyDeleteHi :) from Laura Sheryl Evans
ReplyDeleteI've never used it before, I am in the habit of buying powder.
ReplyDeleteWhen my sisters machine broke down, I was doing her laundry, and managed to shrink her husbands overalls .. which I kept as decorating gear!. He still thinks I did it on purpose, just to get my hands on his tatty old clobber? Yeah ... sure!
ReplyDeleteI have a mesh bag I wash my tights or pop socks in stops them snagging :)
ReplyDeleteAngela M
leaving money in the pocket
ReplyDeleteNo real disasters, apart from the red item in with the whites - love those colour run sheets now!
ReplyDeleteSheila Reeves @CakeReev
kids leaving tissue in their pockets
ReplyDeletekay panayi
shrunk my husbands jeans in the wash when I first met him at uni - he did go on to become my husband so must have forgiven me!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteTried some DIY washing machine repairs, ended up with manky water all over the floor. But I fixed It :-)
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that has really happened was I filled the washing machine up ready for the morning and asked hubby to put it going as he went down the next morning, well next thing I know there are soap suds all over the kitchen floor, he had only gone and put more detergent in! The kids thought it was brilliant lol
ReplyDeleteHate stains that only seem to appear once you're about to iron something!
ReplyDeleteI make my hubby do all the washing in my house after disasters of shirking things and colour runs!!
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway no washing woes thankfully but too much of it!
ReplyDeleteGreat for my 5 years old clothes xx

ReplyDeleteI just had to buy a new washing machine after mine broke :(
ReplyDeleteMy stepdad left a £5 note in his pocket and it went in the wash, my brother was around when my mum found it....so he said...."whats this I hear that you and dad are into money laundering?"
ReplyDeleteMy washing machine for some reason has decided to stop heating the water and i have a toddler and a baby, so piles of washing, would like to see if this is any better at getting out stains at cool temperatures than my current washing liquid.
ReplyDeleteI have on several occasion put a nappy in the washer with the laundry
ReplyDeleteDon't really have any recent washing woes... Maybe the odd lost sock when I used a launderette when I was at uni but that was years ago.

ReplyDeleteMy biggest bugbear with washing is that my OH is a total washing Nazi even if there is not enough for a full load he seperates everything (diff washes for towels, jeans, whites, lights, darks) such a waste of electricity and water x
ReplyDeleteAfter moving out of my home house, the very first wash I did turned pink! I forgot to seperate the colours! @cricrinapoli1
ReplyDeleteno funny stories but could do with all the help I can get in the washing department

ReplyDeleteThe biggest washing machine woe at the moment is that it keeps leaving rusty stains on my laundry. Time for a new one, methinks.
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteOnce when I was at college, I left my USB pen drive with all my psychology coursework on in my jeans pocket & washed them. Safe to say I was gutted LoL

ReplyDeletemy little boy is always putting his toys in the washing machine. when i take out the washing from the machine i normally find toy cows and tractors
ReplyDeleteI left my mother in law looking after my kids. Washing machine was on and tumble dryer too. Came home and she left. Went to empty washing machine but it was empty. ReplyDeleteI used to have a machine that "Ate" clothes by grabbing them as they pun- a real wrecking machine :(
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Germany in the early 80s; when we arrived we were given a guidance book about rules/regulations one being that you weren't allowed to hang washing outside on a Sunday. Bizarre but true. I didn't rebel but unsure what would have happened if I had (would someone have pinched my knickers!)
