Ah at last a make up item I'm quite good with. I am reviewing the new Gosh Intense Liner pens. Since becoming a reviewer I have had to, at times, get to grips with beauty products that terrify me as I'm just a bit of a bungler.
But since the age of 14 I have been wearing eyeliner, I love the definition it gives. I can mostly draw it on without looking on my bottom eye rim.
Its the item I would want if I was on a desert island. I know that sounds strange but it would make me feel ready for the day wherever I was!
I love the sharper look a liner gives when I'm going out, it makes my eyelashes look fuller, as I like the shape of my eyes, it accentuates my one of best features.
Gosh say if you are in pursuit of an eyeliner that won’t budge and smudge with a colour intensity take a look at the new Gosh Intense Eyeliner Pens as always a great price at £6.49.
The pens comes with a precision tip for accurate application.
You can adjust the tip of the pen to adjust the thickness of the line. My tip the thinner the line, the bigger the eyelid appears, but as eyeliner is in this season and is very bold, perhaps you have some tips.
I was sent a black pen, along with a green and a brown, all shades that go with my green/hazel eye colour. The black, my staple is perfect, really strong and gives great definition.
The green is a very dark green, almost a black with a green tinge.
I have taken a photo, Paige agreed to be model, if she gets to share.
Its quite hard to see apart from on the furthest eyelid edge in the photo, this weather and my lack of photography skill does not do it justice. Its a great deep shade that really opens up the eye. Whats so great and I will repeat this, is the pen style makes it incredibly easy to apply.
It covers easily and smoothly, because its a pen like nib, its easy to control and apply where you want it to be. Pencils are softer and as you use they can sometimes soften and the line is not as sharp. The Gosh liner stays sharp, you can adjust as you move out to the edge of your line.
It stays put as well, I do advise a good eye makeup remover. I was told off recently and reminded I should use a specific eye product all the time, so I do not drag the delicate skin around my eye.

You actually in part, along with a few other of my favourite blogs, inspired me to start my own (penelopepennypincher.blogspot.co.uk). It's only a baby and not much compared to yours but I find it very therapeutic to have something where I can write every day!

ReplyDeleteno tips, but liquid eye liner is the only make up I use!
ReplyDeleteDrop a slice of bread into some milk 10 minutes befores you go in for a shower and use it as a scrub(use atleast for a week) to even out skin tone
ReplyDeleteAnd I would like the Dark Green please
hi
ReplyDeleteNo tips but I do love liquid eyeliner x
ReplyDeleteHey I don't have any tips because I am totally useless at putting on make-up and completely rely on my teenagers for any support and that's not good lol. Actually one thing is I can apply liquid eyeliner to the tops of my eyes just by doing bit by bit so that's something that my kids cant do.
ReplyDeleteHello, hello! I am a liquid eyeliner devotee, have been for well over a decade so always keen to try a new product. Lately I've been sloping back to pencil eyeliners, so maybe this will reconvert me!
ReplyDeleteHi! Love liquid eyeliner, will not leave the house without it!
ReplyDeleteI keep my lipstick and eyeliner pencils in the fridge in hot weather as it makes them easier to apply! I'd love the brown eyeliner please if I win. I've not tried one of these pen type liners before.
ReplyDeleteI remember the first time I tried eye liner, I was going out to the local disco I suppose I must have been 14/15 & had bought a khol pencil from the local market in town. I tried to get the same amount on both eye lids that was ok, but putting it under my eye was a BIG mistake, I could get it equal & kept adding more think it must have been 1/4 inch by the time I was happy & really thought I looked cool!
ReplyDeleteDuring the evening of dancing etc, I must have wiped my eyes forgetting about the new liner & it was only when I went ot the loo I discovered I had big black smudges all over my face - luckily the disco was dark, but I did get some strange looks that was explained by the mirror!
I now wear it when going out, but have learned that the old adage, less is more, fits perfectly with this product.
Use a small sticky label on your cosmetics and write the date when you first used it. Then you can get an idea of when they need to be thrown away and replaced. (Mind you I should follow my own advice because I have got eyeshadows 10+ years old!!!)
ReplyDeleteTo make eyeliner last longer and stop it from bleeding you can put a bit of face powder around your eyes first and then apply - particularly helpful if you hve oily skin.
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing me to this vegan friendly eyeliner!
I'd love the dark Green one if I win.
My eyeliner tip (I wear and have worn liquid eyeliner, and kohl eyeliner every single day for the last 8 years) is to line your upper lid with a kohl pencil first- and then apply liquid eyeliner on top! It sets the liquid eyeliner- and lasts all day and gives a more gorgeous striking effect!
ReplyDeleteMy tip.. put a blob of your foundation on the palm of your hand and add a blob of your moisturiser.. perfect tinted moisturiser in your colour..
ReplyDeleteId love the black please
thank you
Great prize! If I win i'd love the black please.
ReplyDeleteFind a good translucent powder to minimise shine for a lovely dewy look.
ReplyDeleteSue Robinson

ReplyDeleteI wash my makeup brushes in medicated shampoo to make sure no nasties are going on my skin and, especially, in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteIf you can't find eyeshadow applicator use a cotton bud
ReplyDeleteBlack please
I hate taking mascara off before I go to bed and still waking up with panda eyes!
ReplyDeletei use a cotton bud for small mistakes and i also use them for blending :)

Baby wipes are handy if you make any mistakes with makeup, thanks for giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteYay, I love eyeliner too :-)
ReplyDeleteI am useless with makeup- always leave streaks with foundation!
ReplyDeleteAn old mascara wand makes a good eyebrow brush
ReplyDeleteAlways wear moisturiser under your foundation. It prevents dry looking foundation around your nose.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any tips as I kind suck with make up but I do like trying new products. These look fabby :)
ReplyDelete@v82chris
Wow could really use this as whenever I head for my make-up bag (only on nights out) half of it is missing, I suspect my to teenage daughters lol
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletemascara applies better if it's slightly warm.
ReplyDeleteMy only tip is to always keep vaseline in your make-up bag for use on lips, eyes and cheeks. Can't live without it.
ReplyDeleteIf I win I would like the dark green.
Hi
ReplyDeleteAs I have really dry skin I always out baby lotion on my face half hour before putting liquid foundation on so it doesn't go dry round certain areas such as my nose.
hi! :)
ReplyDeleteTo set your make up spray your face with hair spray. It helps your make up to stay on all day! Just don't inhale!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the 01 Black please. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCucumber on puffy eyes extracts the water and provides cool relief. A beauty tip that might have gone out of fashion but always works a treat!

Glam1973@hotmail.co.uk
thank you :D
hi, nice comp
ReplyDeleteI gently rub my lips with a toothbrush before applying lip gloss, I dont know why but it seems to last longer and look glossier. Would love to try the blue if I'm lucky enough to win
ReplyDeleteRemember to always take off your make up and moisturise every day to keep your skin nice and soft and to avoid those dreaded breakouts!
ReplyDeleteI love the 60s cat eye look, black would be great for this look! :)
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to apply your eye make up first and then do the rest of your face. This gives extra time for your moisturiser or primer to settle and makes cleaning up mistakes much easier (actually I got this tip from Wayne Goss aka gossmakeupartist!)
ReplyDeleteI'd love brown (1st choice) or black please. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Please enter me in the draw.
ReplyDeleteThese looks great, I don't really have any make up tips either :( would like to try the grey one out
ReplyDeleteMy Mum always taught me to carry pocket tissues and handheld mirror with me EVERYWHERE - and so if you've ever got a smudge disaster it's fixable!!!
ReplyDeleteNia Wyn Roberts x
Moisturise your skin prior to applying foundation/mineral make-up. Your make-up will go on smoothly, while keeping your face supple. As a general rule, cleanse, tone and moisturise. I use a finishing dust by Everyday Minerals after applying all my make-up. It isn't heavy and it's very natural looking.
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to use primer make up goes on easier and lasts longer
ReplyDeleteTIP - If you are sick of getting mascara on your skin when you do your bottom lashes then get 2 mascaras! For the top a volumizing mascara and then on the bottom use one specifically for the bottom lashes. A good one i have found is the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara... x
ReplyDeletei always use a primer before foundation now my skin is getting older. it helps give me a more flawless finish x
ReplyDeleteTip-I love clinque mascara but I also love Miss Sporty- a bargain buy! An absolute steal in the price dept!
ReplyDeleteMy makeup tip is make sure you get the right shade of foundation, so you don't look orange!
ReplyDeleteLovely prize - I'd love the dark green if I was lucky enough :)
ReplyDeleteNo tips,I need tips! Great giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't live without those little packs of blotting paper you can get to soak up midday shine. I use DHC.
ReplyDeleteBlot mascara clumps with tissue paper instead of blotting paper - saves a fortune :)
ReplyDeletegreat prize, its so hard to find a good eyeliner! my tip is to apply it on the just slightly opened eye, when closed completely my eyelids wont stay still enough to draw a perfect line. if i won, i would go for black please x
ReplyDeleteGreat prize love gosh.
ReplyDeleteBlack if I'm lucky x
Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the dark green please.x

ReplyDeleteMy make up tip...always use a lip pencil...it really brings out definition, I could not live without mine! I'd love to win the black :)
ReplyDeleteMy tip, toilet paper is great for blotting a half-time shiny forehead or cheeks, just soaks up any excess oil on the skin!
ReplyDelete(Id love the black if i won!)
Would love to be entered into the competition please. I love them all so would be appreciative of any if I were to win.
ReplyDeletethe purple :)
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a makeup tip, but I too find eyeliner an essential piece of kit and would love to win this.
ReplyDeleteI've not been brave enough to try the really dramatic, flicked at the end style yet, so sure I'll smudge and mess it up but it sounds like it might be do-able with this product, I'd certainly give it a go!
ReplyDeleteLemknip Pink
I d like black or brown please. Let your moisturiser soak in for 20 mins before you put your make up on.
ReplyDeleteI d like black or brown please. Let your moisturiser soak in for 20 mins before you put your make up on.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the Purple as its my favourite colour
ReplyDelete@littleboo_21
black please - jen jackson
ReplyDeleteNever wear moisturiser when going to the hairdressers, as hair sticks to it as it is cut. My daughter would love this eyeliner if I win it
ReplyDeleteAlways cleanse your face twice before bed...needs extra to take the make up off! Sara
ReplyDeleteThis looks brilliant, i love dark exaggerated eyeliner, this does it for me!
ReplyDeleteMy make up tip is put loose face powder on your cheekbones and under your eyes before applying dark eye shadows. That way if any loose pigment falls on your cheeks you can just sweep it off.
ReplyDeleteIf doing a french manicure paint the white tip and if messy tidy up with a small paint brush with nail varnish remover before applying the next coat of polish
ReplyDeleteI love eye liner !! It is the one thing I will not leave home without !! x
ReplyDeleteAlways wear a basecoat under nail polish to help prevent staining of the nails.
ReplyDeletehi i dont wear make up this would be for my daughter, black please.
ReplyDeleteI've just started to try out eyeliner - this would be perfect to win.
ReplyDeleteJenny Rogers
Tip:always sweep your blusher up and right to the sides for higher looking cheekbones
ReplyDeleteGrey eyeliner if a winner :) please :)
Gr8 Blog :)
laura_mead@hotmail.com
@evsgirl09
Black for me please. Make up tips? Always wash it off at night otherwise you'll get blemishes! x
ReplyDeletePop a bit of glitter over your eyeliner to change your everyday look into a party one!
ReplyDeleteI find Vaseline a life saver with so many uses - chapstick, removes makeup, put on the skin around your nails so when you paint them any excess paint doesnt get on the skin, clear mascara, keeping your eyebrow hairs in the same direction, tame split ends i swear that you can use vaseline for pretty much everything!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteHi Fab comp. If i won I would like 01 black. Would love to give this a try as Im pretty useless with eye make- up :0S

ReplyDeletedo a cheesy grin when applying blusher to ensure its going in the right place
ReplyDeletemy makeup tip, is that i spray my face wth hairspray! keeps your makeup on, but remember to close your eyes and your mouth!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a tip as I'm sure everyone has covered them anyway and I'm only a beginner at using make-up.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I would love to be included in this giveaway and would like the black shade if I win :)
I use face wipes to remove my makeup
ReplyDeleteIm not the best at giving tips..my make up often looks like a clown when im in a rush
ReplyDeleteWhat a super idea - now I would no longer look like a woozy panda! I'd love the shade 02 grey!
ReplyDeleteFab comp - would love the purple one pls xxxx
ReplyDeleteMy makeup tip would be to always use a good primer to set your foundation :)
ReplyDeleteuse bb cream its fab !! I have just started using it and it really covers all the imprfections in your skin. really worth the money.
ReplyDeleteWhen your mascara is running low leave it on the radiator for an hour on top of a towel so it dont get too hot, then it melts all the mascara that is stuck to the sides and will give you another weeks worth of mascara.
ReplyDeleteI would love 01 Black if I win please
Thank you :)
Hayley xx
I would love dark green.
ReplyDeletei use vaseline for a summertime blusher mixed with powder blusher, a lip balm, a lip gloss mixed with a lippy and for my babies too!

ReplyDeleteHave to keep some Carmex lip balm in my bag - I don't want cracked lips!!
ReplyDeleteHi - what a brilliant blog. Thank you
ReplyDeletebaby wipes are great for make up removal!
ReplyDeleteI always invest in a good eye makeup remover, there is nothing worse after a night out than spending ages trying to take off mascara!
ReplyDeleteAlways use eyelash curlers they make your eyes look bigger
ReplyDeleteless is more when it come to make up
ReplyDeletelovely x
ReplyDeleteThey look fab, I need a new one too :)
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIf you make a mistake with your eye make up use a cotton bud in make up remover to sort it out
ReplyDeletehi, i havent really got a tip but has been great reading every one elses tips though :)
ReplyDeletelucinda
less is more x
ReplyDeleteim rubbish at make up so my friend always does mine before a night out. would love to get my hands on this
ReplyDeleteAlways moisturise first but then give your skin a few minutes to absorb the moisturiser before a[[lying your foundation
ReplyDeleteInstead of using face wipes or cleanse try using unfragranced baby wipes to take off your make up. They are generally larger, much cheaper and still do a great job. I would love the Black eyeliner please for my daughter.
ReplyDeletevasaline makes great lip shiner followed kim plant x
ReplyDeleteMy make up tip is 'little and often'. It's better to apply a little make up and top up if needed rather than plastering it on initially.
ReplyDeleteHello :)
ReplyDeletetinted moisturiser is fab for summer and dont clog the pores like some foundations do
ReplyDeleteMy tip is keeping it simple and light in the summer so you dont look and feel like your melting! (nikki kay reynolds/ nikki k on the form :D)
ReplyDeleteI use a magnifying mirror when i take my make up off!
ReplyDeletelove this page!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I was lucky enough to win I would love the black please
ReplyDeletehave a quick fix makeup remover such as a packet of babywipes for use after night outs and actually leave the packet on your pillow. This makes you more likely to remove your makeup if you've had a few sherbets!
ReplyDeleteWould love the 01 black if I'm lucky x
My one fail-safe is always make sure you remove every single trace of make-up off at the end of the day / night. No matter how tired you might be, it's vitally important that you remove your eye make-up to keep your eyes looking young and energised!
ReplyDeleteWould love 06 Blue
