Owen Potts sauces and condiments review

Everybody could do with a little spice to enliven that salad especially now the cold weather is here, a tasty gravy that brings a midweek meal up a few notches, then with Christmas soon here maybe a new accompaniment for the turkey and ham.

I tried a few of the new Owen Potts range and found a couple of real winners.

Firstly Owen Potts Spanish Dressing a blend of roasted peppers and pimenton (paprika) It has a mild creamy taste, the peppers are the main flavour, its a lovely warm dressing tomatoey, peppery and fine notes of herbs.

It really made a lovely change, I recommend you use fresh peppers in any salad, as for me the dressing really complemented them.
The Cranberry honey sauce has been added to many a ham sarnie in this house of late, the sweet honey and lovely cranberry bite makes a honey roast ham sandwich really special.

On to my favourite product from the range, Owen Potts Chicken Thyme and White Wine Gravy, the idea of it had me anticipating a good gravy, the reality surpassed even my imaginations. The delicate flavour added to my meal we ate while on holiday last week. Not wanting to cook overly elaborate meals as we were relaxing, but still wanting a good tasty meal, I took the gravy with me. so glad I did.

The gravy just needed to be heated gently, then added to my chosen dish of  pan fried chicken breast, baked potato and steamed broccoli, carrot batons, courgettes and green beans.
The gravy lifted the meal into a finer dining experience, it was subtley seasoned, tasted heavenly and its the nicest bought gravy I have tasted to date.
