  1. oooh! sounds nice! I already follow with GFC and you can tweet me @missmamo :) My best moment of the summer was taking the kids + mate to Hornsea beach and they were jumping off the breakers, one of them had NEVER been to the seaside! The lifeguard came out and told them off (well, I did ask him as they weren't listening to me!) It was freezing that day and they all went in the sea fully clothed then we had to have donuts and chips in the car on the drive home!

  12. My best summer moment was the 30th July. It was one of our only hot summery days, I had just watched my youngest score the winning try in his 1st game of rugby after a serious shouder operation. We were all lounging about on the grass when my visiting German friends 2 year (that day!) picked up the rugby ball and toddled from the halfway line down the pitch to score between the post. It was such a simple perfect moment and just summed up what summer should be like!

I'm sure he would love for me to win this comp as mayo is one of my favourite sauces. I miss his cute little face.

  37. Hi Jo
My favourite moment was on holiday in Spain this year, joining our friends for a picnic in the sun and watching the annual San Isidro fiesta; with all its colourful floats, oxen-drawn wagons, horse riders etc. dressed in flamenco dresses and national costumes, pass by us on their procession to nearby Maro caves, where the celebrations last well into the early hours every year. The town was throbbing to the beat of Latin music and the sun was hot. Then we all ate, drank, and danced the warm, balmy night away. Felt the happiest I had been in a very long time!! A truly wonderful and happy day!

My favourite moment of the summer was when the whole family went to Kingston Lacey House & Gardens in Dorset. Grandad was showing off to the kids about how he could stand up from a sitting position. The kids asked him to prove it and he got up promptly falling into the laurel hedge behind! The kids roared with laughter - particularly as there was then a Grandad-shaped hole in the hedge!

My favourite summer moment was when visiting my sis, I gave her Reiki (healing) a good few times for an intensive period while she was v poorly. One evening as usual we set up all the candles, lit some incense, quite ceremonial almost and got prepared for the session, she is comfortable always to lay on the bed and usually drifts off to sleep as the treatment can be very relaxing. I got prepared and as i usually do, hopped on my side of the bed to start with her head and shoulders. As soon as i got on the bed it collapsed fully in the middle and my friend was laid feet up with her little stick legs poking through the middle ... there was silence and then we both burst out laughing! Needless to say i was mortified at the time, it was a big posh bed .. we carried on the session on a mattress on the floor :) Every time i think about that evening it makes me truly belly laugh, it has to be my best moment of the summer because it made us both laugh during a hard time! (The bed slats did get repaired by her partner though thankfully,i later discovered he'd hoovered and the supports had been shifted !)

My best Summer moment was the kids Nan coming home from B&Q with some random garden toy sprinkler she got reduced at £4, turns out it was the highlight of the week! It had a head of spaghetti like tubes that flew around every where spurting water out of every end, the same with the arms and legs! Absolute great fun, especially when we stuck it in the front garden and hid, two little old ladies got a real eyeful lol Though they did see the funny side when they heard our chuckles!

We were nervous enough to start with, we get to the Station in Cambridge, Our first train was cancelled, So we waited an hour in the rain. We got to Norwich around lunchtime, only to miss another train as were waiting at the wrong platform lol We then had to make our own entertainment, so took pictures of the postcards and posted them on facebook for our partners to see saying 'wish you were here' lol We got our next two trains, finally! And all in all, it took us train newbies 7 HOURS to get from Cambridge to Sheringham ROFL We shall never be making that journey again alone, though we had a hilarious time taking the mick out of each other, as with us, something always had to go wrong, we never do things smoothly!! We got 2 hours in Sheringham then had to make our way home lol Luckily the return Journey DID run smooth :P

  152. My favourite memory of this summer has been all the ice cream I have eaten - thus breaking my diet entirely and I DON'T CARE! There is nothing nicer than sitting on the beach or in a park with the sun beating down and a lovely, fluffy, creamy ice cream to lick.

Best moment of summer was visit to York spending time with family, visiting tourist spots and eating lots of afternoon teas.

  157. Bonus: Used to love watching Sooty & Co with daughter and friend. One day her friend pipes up, "Where's Co? You never see Co." My daughter then agrees and they have a conversation trying to work out who Co is! Well it is confusing for little ones.

  164. Best momment of the summer was a trip to Barmouth Beach, the weather was gorgeous & for the first time in my 14 years of being 'Mum' I could relax, soak up the sun & not feel like I was on watch duty the whole time, it was pure bliss & I Loved it! Of course the kids enjoyed themselves too :-)

  167. No rants from me today, although the rain, sun, rain, sun versus the leaving the washing on the line or not could of made me rant, was more of a yawn though.
Couple of things that have made my day though was winning your nip + fab comp this morning :)) & hubby telling me he'd booked the night off :)) so I best get my butt off this computer as I can hear they've all put the Pirates of the Caribbean on downstairs, so the sofa is calling me. Bye4now
